This is a song that I wrote for some friends a long time ago. Since that time, I became very close to a couple of Crow girls – twins in fact – who came into my life during a few distinct times. I remember the day they were born although I didn’t know them at the time. I also remember seeing them when they were very small doing Little Britches Rodeo with their beautiful long black braids streaming out behind them as they rode their barrel ponies. Later on I ended up developing a strong friendship with them as they went through high school, graduated, and became fine young women. I grew up to be a songtelling story singer and the girls – well,they became big medicine to me.
