Changes

April 26, 2019 by Dave Munsick 1 Comment

There are lessons to be learned that lie between the hands that hold a set of reins and the horse that they are speaking to. When a man approaches the natural softness of a horse with softness in his hands and in his thinking, a level of harmony can be reached that can change his relationship with his horse, his world, and his life.

Horsemanship, like life, is all about changes – being sensitive to the slightest feel, the smallest try, the movement that is still only an idea. This is a way of thinking that was taught to me by the legendary horseman Buck Brannaman. He gave me some words to use in this song and they are words that were given to him by two horsemen that came before him: Bill Dorrance and Ray Hunt. I feel blessed to have been gifted these words from Buck and to be able to share them with you.
